House Rules


PETS: John and I travel with our small dog, so it is important we offer this perk to our guests. Being a pet friendly place comes with extra work and risk. Please let us know if you are bringing your pet, details about your pet, so our cleaning crew can properly prepare for the next guest after you leave. Please clean up after your pet. Please keep them off the furniture. Let us know if you need anything special for them to be comfortable, like toys, beds and/or bowls. We do not have cats, but will allow a feline visitor. We have a litter box available upon request. All we ask is that you are honest and up front. We take extra cleaning measures to insure our following guests will not be uncomfortable; like vacuuming / steam cleaning, washing all bedding, blankets and rugs. It is simply more time and work so we need our guests with fur babies to be extra courteous.

The space
This nicely updated ranch is furnished with modern and vintage touches making it a unique and cozy getaway. All three bedrooms have closet space and dressers to help you settle in. Master has attached bathroom with shower. Second bathroom with tub/shower is near the other two bedrooms. We provided a work space in the third bedroom, a desk, chair, loveseat and Wi-Fi with printer for the working digital nomads. Also a full air mattress is available. A well-stocked kitchen has all the right cookware and essentials to prepare a perfect meal. There is a full sized washer and dryer to keep up with laundry. Lakeview Getaway has everything you need to feel at home. Plus fenced back yard for furry family.

Our home is your home! You have the entire house to yourself, full and private use of every area. No shared spaces.
Additional notes
The third bedroom is staged as an office, with full bed, twin bunk bed, and twin trundle.

Neighborhood overview
Lakeview Getaway is located in the Canton residential development on the eastern shore of Lake Barkley. The large lots give a feeling of privacy within a small community. Included is unlimited use of the boat ramp, reserved for the subdivision.
Getting around
The private driveway can accommodate several vehicles, street parking also available. The community boat ramp is less than two blocks from the house. Access to a paved trail that covers many scenic miles in the Land Between The Lakes recreation area. Cadiz is a 20 minute drive. It is filled with charming small town shops and frequent Amish markets. Spattered along Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake is unique marinas with various activities, shoreline restaurants, boat slip and boat rentals, there is so much to do!
